Han anbefaler at jeg redigerer config fil via internettet, det fatter jeg ikke helt.
vi har haft denne dialog på Engelsk:
Using strace I found that GuitarPro actually tries pretty hard to find a printer by looking for /etc/printcap, /root/.printers or /etc/printers.conf.
It just don't know about CUPS which is the default on most Linux systems nowadays![]()

Interesting but too technical for me, and the "supporters" ignore the users. I believe Im using CUPS in Ubuntu 12.04
Install procedure is based on getting .deb files from Brother
Brother printerdrivere fewtched here http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/...
Get 2 .deb filer, the top one first use softwarecenter
1. Important to install LPR driver first
2. Wrapper install next
3. Go til administration/new printer follow instructions

If you have configured them in CUPS or with the KDE system settings, just add "Printcap /etc/printers.conf" at the top of /etc/cups/cupsd.conf and restart it with "/etc/init.d/cupsys restart". Then your printers are immediately visible in GuitarPro.
Tested on Debian wheezy.
Ok, then you do use CUPS. Now just:
* Log into http://localhost:631/admin/ as user "root"
* go to to "admin"
* click on "edit config file" (or whatever it says in your language)
* add the line "Printcap /etc/printers.conf"
-> your printer should appear in Guitar Pro
